Summer Bedroom
A bedroom for the hot summers of Barcelona.
Adapting an industrial space into a home, it was impossible to climatise the entire space without significant economic and ecological costs.
The solution was to link the number of rooms to the climatic diversity throughout the year, achieving greater energy efficiency.
The "Summer Bedroom" was created using scaffoldings, and an upper structure that houses the lighting and hemp roller blinds, to provide privacy while allowing air to pass through, to reduce the temperature inside. It exemplifies how housing codes can be modified to suit environmental factors while promoting a more pleasurable experience.
