Centre d'enfance dans le nuveau quartier résidentiel de Viserba de Rimini (IT)

Ensambel des deux écoles, une garderie pour enfants entre 0 et 3 ans, et une école pour enfants entre 3 et 5 ans. Il s'agit d'un projet de bioarchitecture.
The one floor building is oriented East-west, inthis way classrooms are on the South -East side, well protected by a wooden porch, in order to reduce sun gains during Summer. Each classroom ha a direct access from aoutside, and its own services inside (toilets and rest-room). The building uses efficient pasive design mechanisms instead of wasteful conventional systems. There are solar and photovoltaic panels , a rainwater recycling system (allowing it to be reused for irrigation and toilet flushing) a heating system with radiant panels and a condensation boiler. Ventilation and air extraction are mechanized. Although some aspects of the design apply specifically to the mediterranean climate, many essential aspects can be advantegeously and easily transferred around the world.
The use of colours inside (each classroom has a different floor colour) will help children in orientationinside the building.The building interacts with natural environment on various levels; they lay naturally on the ground, providing a continuity of paths and functions between the inside and the outside. Green spaces follow the shape of the building encroaching to create indipendent coutyards.
